Would be nice if RadLabel and RadTextBox / RadDropDownList etc. would support snap-on alignment of the text baseline in the visual studio 2010 designer in the same manner the standard Label and TextBox controls do.

This is a good idea and it will be a nice addition to our controls capabilities. I have added this feature request to our Public Issue Tracking System. You can follow its progress on the following link: PITS Feature Request.
