There is no built-in support for adding text to the image for now. However, you can create your own custom tool for RadImageEditor by implementing the ITool interface, which will give you the ability to setup your own preview, settings UI and attach to any events of RadImageEditor that are relevant to your tool. This offers you the full freedom to implement virtually any behavior you want within your tool. This is the highlight of an online demo at http://demos.telerik.com/silverlight/#ImageEditor/CustomTool, where a custom tool for watermarking is available along with its source code. You can view the code when you click the “Code” button in the top right corner of the application.
Fortunately, in the upcoming Service Pack in mid-September, we will introduce a tool for adding text to the image, which you can also make use of.

The TextTool has not been released yet, but it will be included in the upcoming Q3 Beta, which is due in less than 10 days.
We'll be counting on your feedback then.
