Test Studio Service API html documentation not loading?

Hi,

I've downloaded the new Test Studio Service API documentation zip from the user guide site.
However after extracting the zip contents, when I open either the scheduling or storage.html files, the page displays "Loading Documentation..." but never seems to load the actual page content. I've tried on both IE and Firefox (thought it might have been a browser thing) but still no luck

Are you able to check whether you are able to download & view the service api html documentation?

Thank you for contacting us.

You are right, the standalone files are not working. I will report this to the colleague who is responsible for the documentation.

Meanwhile if you have installed scheduling and storage service and they are running you can navigate (only in Chrome) and read the documentation:

Scheduling documentation: http://localhost:8009/documentation/
Storage documentation: http://localhost:8492/v1/documentation/

I know it's an old post but I have the same issue with:

http://localhost:8009/documentation/

If I look at the error:

http://localhost:8009/docs Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (Internal Server Error)
jquery-2.0.2.min.js:6 GET http://localhost:8009/docs 500 (Internal Server Error)

Hope there is an easy solution.

We have a bug about this which will be fixed in the upcoming release at the end of March.

With the new release the API docs should work as expected.

Hi, is there another way to view the API docs?  I am receiving the same error as Scott reported on 16 Aug 2013.  I am running 2016.1.330.0.

Hi Briar,

With 2016 R1 version the scheduling API documentation works correctly. See the attached screen shot.

Please double check your scheduling service is installed and running.

No I did not stored the documentation. I only needed it to investigate the API Tool but we did not continue to use it. So I cannot help you any further.

Sorry small mistake we still use it :) But we now also use TeamCity and GIT to kickoff the scripts in combination with "Telerik.TestStudio.CommandLineClient.exe""

We have recently found that documentation is missing and thus a bug report is already submitted to our public feedback portal. Please find the item to follow its progress here where also additional comments could be added.

Hey, I downloaded 2016 R1 and I was able to get the documentation for both Storage and Scheduling services.  I have saved off the complete html and put in a zip file if anyone ever needs.  We are looking to make a web interface so that we can initiate test lists outside of the normal build process.
