Can anyone please let me know how to do JSON schema validation while API testing in Telerik Test Studio? (I have a given schema)

I am attempting to create common tests in the API suite so that I can reuse said tests in multiple scenarios.  I would like to keep all tests within the same project therefore I am looking to "copy/paste" a centralized test so that I only need to make changes/updates to a single location instead of each individual test.

For example, I want to create a single "Authentication" step and reuse it for all API testing.  Be able to update just the one location for the test and it be reflected for each location that the "Authentication" step is located.  Currently it does not allow me to place a test within another test.  Am I going about this in the wrong way?

Hope this makes sense and hope to get some clarity.

What is the status of  Test Studio for API licensing? Is will be selling as part of Telerik studio or Telerik API project is dying slowly and has no future? We have quite a few API test written and wondering maybe its time to switch to  Postman  as its $8-18 per month. 

 

Also, I have an issues to start Telerik API after upgrade as licensing  gives authorization error and shut downs

I want to validate that the same get will always have the same response and for that, I need to have the body  as expected

 

Ideally, would be nice to have the expected a file path to the json

I tried installing the BETA version, however, after installation it only allow me to use it for 30 days trial. Is the free BETA release for Test Studio APIs no longer available? If yes, how much it would cost if I purchase a license?

With Postman I'm able to add client certificates (set certificate, set key file, add pass phrase. etc) which in then turn be sent when a request is made to a configured domain. Does the current API test tool allow for similar functionality or can you instruct me on how this can be accomplished. 

I get differing results when running an entire project vs a single test through the command line.    

As an example, if I run as a single test through the command line 17 requests execute in 13 seconds, no issues.  Running that same test in a project, the first requests takes 60 seconds, and hits the timeout limit.
