Hello karthick,

The feature is not available in the way it is visualized. In general, reports are static documents, where we support interactivity in some formats like navigation to other reports or external URLs, allowing you to display more information about the selected item.

We can suggest you to create a Pie chart by using the Graph item - How to: Create Pie Chart , and to add NavigateToReportAction to the Graph.SeriesGroups.Action. This will let you click on a pie and open another report with more details about it - Drillthrough Report Action.

Please feel free to log a feature request for having an option to "explode"  a pie in a Pie chart generated via Graph item. Features are considered for implementation based on the demand.

Stef

hi Team,

We tried this approach earlier. As part of navigation to a sub report or another report(drill down through action), we have to mention the field value as navigation parameter to detail report. In case of pie chart, It is not possible to get the value of the pie slice, as the action is performed over the whole chart item(not on individual slice of pie).

please help us.

Hi,

If you use a data structure like:
series,values
ser1,10
ser2,20
...
You need to set the action on the Graph.SeriesGroups.Action.

Please check the attached video in IE browser, that illustrates the above suggestion.

hi Team,

we are able to implement based on the solution provide by the team for getting the selected part value from the pie chart. thanks for your support . now we are trying to implement the below two pie chart in the initial attachment. 1) show the selected part separate from the other 2) show only the selected one single piece of cake. if you tell us how to implement that also it will be helpful.

plus we also need you help on the below items.

1)waterfall model chart
2)need to view PDF in the report viewer.

Hi karthick,

In regards to your questions:
  1. Show the selected pie separated. The feature is not supported directly. Please add a feature request for having an option to make series "explode".
a workaround is to use conditional formatting rule for the Series.DataPointConditional.Formatting that sets the line around the pie - use a color matching the background to make the pie look like separated, where the rule can be based on a report parameter.
  2. Use again the Series.DataPointConditionalFormatting to set a transparent or similar to the background color for series. Each series LegendItem includes more ConditionalFormatting objects allowing you to hide legend items as well.
  3. Use a NavigatetoReportAction targeting the same report with updated value of the report parameters controlling the styles of Data Points.

The attached demo report illustrates such settings. It is a TRDP file that can be previewed in the Standalone Report Deisgner of R2 2017 and newer.

About the rest of your questions, please check my post in your other thread - Telerik Report - water fall model.
