I just updated my Control Panel (2015_2_0225) and it is no longer able to authenticate with my company's proxy server. The previous version was able to authenticate just fine (in fact it did so in order to update itself). The new version keeps kicking back my login attempt saying 'Connection Problem'

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hello Robert,

Thank you for contacting us!

I think that the problem that you have encountered is due to an omission on our side that we have resolved recently. Can you try upgrading to the latest Control Panel again?

If you still experience connectivity problems I will be glad to help you further.

Regards,
Petar

I downloaded 2015_2_0304 and I am still unable to authenticate through the proxy server. Please let me know what the next steps are.

Thanks.

Hello Robert,

We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Could you please describe the exact steps you perform and send us the errors you receive? We also need to investigate the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Telerik registry key so it will be very convenient if you extract and send it to us.

Regards,
Vesko

Steps/Problem:
  1. I open the Control Panel
  2. I type in my credentials and hit sign in
  3. A window pops up that states: Connection Problem. It seems there is an error with your internet connection.
  4. I verify my proxy, port and username and password and I click on retry
  5. The same window pops up
Please let me know how I can send you the registry key and I will do so.

Hi Robert,

Follow these steps to obtain the registry key values:

1. Launch regedit.exe tool.
2. Navigate to the Telerik key described in in my last post.
3. Right-click the key and click Export.
4. Send us the exported *.reg file.

Please send us the error you receive after you close the Connection Problem dialog (copy it from the ERROR REPORT DETAILS).

Vesko

I know how to retrieve the registry settings, I was more looking for where do I upload it or which email address to I send it to.

As far as the error goes, there is no error report details. The window is the proxy window, I will be happy to send you a screenshot as soon as you provide me with the information on where to send the data.

Thanks.

Hi,

You can use this email thread to attach files.

Regarding the error - an Error Report dialog with a stack trace is expected to pop up after you click CLOSE on the Connection Problem dialog (there is an attachment with screenshots).

I'm currently having this same issue trying to update from my work computer.  I get the error that the proxy settings are failing.  When I click close, I then get an error that there is a password mismatch, which isn't accurate, as I'm simply logging in the same as my Telerik account.

Hi Terrina,

We have made some improvements that might help us troubleshoot the problem. We plan to release these improvements tomorrow. Please give the new version a try and send us your feedback.
