I noted from the quick install documentation that you need SQL Server 2008 + Team Explorer 2010.

Is it possible to point to install SQL Server on a different server. Also can we use SQL Server 2005, since we have a specific TFS Server running TFS2008 with an SQL 2005 Database and ideally I'd like to keep the Team Pulse data with the TFS data.

Ideally I want to keep the DMZ webserver as "light" as possible without SQL Server etc.

Hello Stephen,

You can point TeamPulse to a SQL instance that is located on another server. We will be posting a knowledge base article on how to do this soon.
