I just paid for sync to Telerik Tasks. Now both my WP8 phones and both my W8.1 PCs crash when syncing.
Uninstalling to get a clean start doesn't seem to help, so I think symptoms point to a server problem.

Error message on WP8 client is "Synchronization Error: Current error context error is different to requested error."
Error message on W8.1 is "Synchronization error".

Feel free to contact me at my forum account email for more info.

Hello,
Could you, please, verify at all devices what is the value of the Completed tasks retention policy property into the Options screen. If it is [Manually delete only], please, change it to any other value and try again to sync (a known rare issue, on which we are currently working).

Regards,

OK tried that. Also tried all settings for retention policy. Wiped app from all four devices and reinstalled before trying different settings. Same symptom unfortunately. So it would seem that there is an issue with the data that I have already synced to your server during my trial period.
Now, during the trial period I did set the retention policy to Manual delete only, perhaps that setting got persisted on the server side, causing the symptom?
Perhaps the short term solution is to wipe my account, I would be OK with losing my data - however I see no user-accessible mechanism for that.

Hi,
The issue with the retention policy concerns only the sync (it should be fixed for the next version of Tasks).
To workaround it it is enough to use any option, different from Manual delete only.
When was the last time you have successfully synced? Two other users reported similar connection issues, so we are revising the applied server-side update.
Could you, please send us your username for the Telerik cloud sync service in order to verify there is  nothing wrong into your account?

I know this is an old post, but I have been searching for a solution to the same issue and this fixed it for me.  Once I changed the "Manual delete only" to 1 year it started Syncing.  Thanks,
