I have a docx file that I have upladed, and all of the 'tabbed' positions seem to be lost. Also when I try and realighn the text pressing the tab button seems to result in moving forward a 'random' length on the line...
Is there something I am missing here, or does it simply not work?
Cheers

Hi Grayson Mitchell,
There are some differences between the way tabs are regarded in MS Word and RadRichTextBox.
First, in Word there are tab-stops and pressing tab moves the caret to the next tab stop which makes consistent tab length. In our rich text box, there aren't any tab stops but rather tabs has fixed length and are influenced by the font size of the current style. If a paragraph is aligned with "justify" there may be differences between the space of two tabs because then the space between words changes when more tabs are added. you can observe the tabs and space between them if turn on the "show formatting symbols" button.
We are treat this difference in behavior of RadRichTextBox and MSWord as an issue and have it logged in our to-do list. Unfortunately I cannot specify timeline for its availability. Hopefully it will be added to Q2 feature list.
I hope that this explains the behavior you are observing and answers your questions.
Kind regards,

Is there an update for getting the tabbing functionality the same as MS Words? Also, is there a way to change the tab spacing. It appears to be 2 spaces, but I need it to be 5 for example?

Hello Dustin,
The indent step when pressing Tab or Shift+Tab is 28 dpi and cannot be customized.
When it comes to the implementation of Tab Stops, please refer to this forum thread for more information.
