Syncrinization error

    Hi,

    I am synchronizing TFS with Team pulse. At both places i have used basic scrum template. Its giving me following error.

    field 'Microsoft.vstv.scheduling.effort' does not exist in work item type 'Bug'

    field

    'Microsoft.vstv.scheduling.Backlog priority'

    does not exist in work item type 'Bug'


    Can anyone help me with this?

    Hi Sonali,

    Can you confirm that from TeamPulse side you are using Microsoft Scrum template and from TFS one - you are using Scrum v1.0?

    If so, please provide us the following xml files:
    1. In TeamPulse Settings -> Project Settings -> Edit Advanced Settings -> backup this xml file
    2. In TeamPulse Settings -> TFS Sync Information  -> TFS Server Configuration -> Edit Synchronization Mappings -> backup this xml file
    3. In TFS -> Tools -> Process Editor -> Work Item Types -> Export WIT and for your particular project export the Bug Work Item Definition xml

    Please provide us these three files so we can check in details what exactly causes your problem.

    Hello Sonali,

    Please submit a customer support ticket where the option for attaching files is available. Note that xml files should be archived - both zip and rar extensions are allowed.
    From there TeamPulse team will continue handling your issue. Thanks in advance.

    hi Lora,

    When i click on 'Submit Support ticket" i am redirected to this page where i can not attach ZIP file :(

    hi,

    Could you please let me know if it is possible to add fields in team pulse bug template like 'Reported By'?

    Hi Sonali,

    Thank you for your continuous interest in TeamPulse.

    Unfortunately at this point it is not possible to add new fields for a workitem in TeamPulse and
    from this point of view we cannot offer you adding "Reported By" field for bug as well.

    One possible solution that I may suggest you is to use the Feedback Item of type "Problem". By reporting a problem there you can either "Like As" the person who actually reported the bug or add his/her name as a "Source" of the problem. Also by doing so you are actually allowing other TeamPulse users to vote for a problem as well and this way raise its actual priority.
