Do Just Trace support the Visual Studio 2008 ?
We are having the need for do some Memory Tracing in a Compact Framework application.

I believe I have seen that support previously ?
(in what version could that be ?)

Hi Svein,

While JustTrace no longer integrates with Visual Studio 2008, the standalone executable has no problem profiling applications created using Visual Studio 2008. That said, JustTrace supports profiling only the full .NET runtime and Silverlight. If you can run your CF application in the desktop runtime, then you can profile it using JustTrace. However, the CF runtime itself doesn't support the same profiling API and JustTrace cannot help you with it, e.g. you can't profile applications running on a Pocket PC.

Thank you for feedback.

Can confirm that Just Trace is working to a certain extent when running in the desktop runtime.

Just to bad it does not support the device specific functions, and CF-app also chrashes very easily when run on desktop due to a variety of circumstances.

We are severely missing the opportunity to  profile .NETCF apps, trying to cure some urgent memory leaks.

Hello Svein,

Adding support for CF to JustTrace is a cool idea. I would like to ask you to add a suggestion for that on our feedback portal. With enough votes we'll be able to prioritize this feature accordingly and implement it in the future.
