I've really enjoyed using the Teampulse product, but still find some expected behavior on occasion.  I want to help and give feedback, so the product can be improved above it's great foundation.

  1. When decomposing the User Story into tasks, sometimes there's a logical ordering of certain tasks you want done before others, but during planning, you may not think of them in the same order.  My expected behavior was to drag the task to be the first task, but I couldn't do that.  Seems like there should be a way to order the tasks.
  2. Within Planning -> Plan an Iteration, there should be the option to show Bugs also, not just User Stories.  Today, you have to go to the Bugs area to assign it to the sprint,or to a team member.  If the bugs are combined in the Planning, they could easily be put into the sprint, without it being an after thought (don't forget to fix some bugs each sprint).  Maybe there could be some sort of filter - show User Stories and Bugs, Show just User Stories?
  3. Within Planning -> Plan an Iteration, if you Add a User Story to the Backlog (Upper Section), and Add it to the Iteration (Lower Grid), you can see it added, but it just spins / hangs.  The previous release, you had to refresh before you added to the Iteration.  [Workaround: Just add the story to the lower grid if you know you are adding it to the Iteration].

Hello Liz,

Thanks for the valuable feedback.

I've added that feature request in our TeamPulse. Actually I found that I need that feature also :-).
  2. You guess what we are working on for the next release. The main focus for the next release will be Backlog management. There will be one screen where you can manage your backlog - Stories, Bugs, etc. I've also added a feature request in our TeamPulse to be able to see the bugs also in the Plan an Iteration screen. Just to be sure that we don't miss that functionality also.
I couldn't reproduce it. My steps to reproduce: 1. Panning->Plan an Iteration 2. Add a new story in Your Backlog 3. Add it to the iteration bellow. Are those steps correct?

Good thing I was finding this post :-) I've been playing arround to find a way to add my bugs to the iteration, would it be possible to release an "unscheduled" service release to TeamPulse that would allow for more detailed planning. To look at the dashboard in the current version does not make any sense as it does not give the full picture.

Best regards

Hello Tor Sigve Taksdal,

Releasing "internal builds" is something that has been discussed internally in great detail but unfortunately we have no plans to release internal builds. I realize this may not be the answer you wanted to hear, but unlike some of the other Telerik products, the complexities surrounding potential database changes from one version to the next does not lend itself well to internal builds.

Best wishes,
Greg
