Can you let me know which project template your TeamPulse project is set to and what template your TFS project is set to?

Team Pulse = EMC Scrum 2010
Using those templates should result in the following mappings:
<EntityMapping TeamPulseEntityName="Story" DestinationEntityName="Product Backlog Item">
<EntityMapping TeamPulseEntityName="Task" DestinationEntityName="Sprint Backlog Task">
I just performed a test on my local instances in which I created a Story in TeamPulse and a Task associated to it, then marked them for Syncing and performed a synchronization. Within TFS I then ran the All Product Backlog Items query which showed my story, and when looking at the Links tab within I can see the associated Sprint Backlog Task which was created as a Child link type.
If you perform a similar scenario, are you able to see the associated linked Sprint Backlog Task within TFS on the Product Backlog Item that is created via synchronization?

TeamPulse does not currently sync with the Sprint work items in templates that contain them. Iterations created in the Planning section and associated to Stories will be synced as Iterations within TFS.
