Greetings,

I downloaded JuckMocked, open the VB.NET solution, did a build and got a good deal of errors in various statements in regards to Lambda inline functions. Now I could go in and figure them out easily but I am not here for that but instead to evaluate this product hence my thread.

BTW: No issues with the C# solution.

Hello Kevin,

This is highly unfortunate to hear.

We always run our sample solutions before release, as they are one of the things our QAs rely on. However, I tested all of the sample solutions we generate (the ones that come after installing JustMock, both the Lite and the Commercial versions and the ones that can be downloaded from our public repository on GitHub), once again and they all compiled successfully. Also, all the tests inside passed.

To help you further, could you tell me if you have installed JustMock Lite on your computer or you have downloaded its sources from the public repository? Also, what kind of compile exceptions do occur inside Visual Studio on your side?

I am looking forward to your reply.

Regards,
Kaloyan

Hello,

I re-installed, same issues which I documented in a MS-Word document with screenshots attached here (seems allowed extensions prohibit .DOCX files) and on OneDrive..
In regards to where I downloaded, from your web site, not GitHub or public repository.

Hello Kevin,

Thank you for the provided information.

These errors appear as warnings on our side. This is why we could not reproduce the issue at the beginning. You are absolutely correct that such issues should not be present in our sample solutions, however the samples are currently written like this in order to maintain the support for Visual Studio 2008. Nevertheless, we will take your feedback into consideration and will provide a fix for this for the future JustMock releases.

Until then, you can change the projects Compile settings in order to fix the faulty behavior on your side. The options that interfere with our sample solution are:
Implicit type; object assumed - set its notification type to none or warning.
- Function returning reference type without return value - set its notification type to none or warning.

I apologize for all the inconveniences this has caused you and I hope you can continue the evaluation of our product as expected. Thank you for the understanding and the help once again.

Regards,

Kaloyan

Hello,

I am going to pass on going farther with this product as there is something wrong with the samples. I can imagine where the Lambda extension .Returns comes from if nothing else so that is a complete show stopper. remember, in my documents there are 9 errors so even if I did change settings in regards to warning there are still 9 errors.

Hello Kevin,

I am sorry that our product did not meet your expectations, especially when comes to VB.NET mocking.

Still thank you for the valuable feedback, as we took a note for future JustMock releases.
