Hi,

I don't see a Telerik statusbar bar.  The microsoft toolbox has one but it doesn't support Telerik themes.  I'm asking for advise on how to proceed. The telerik toolkit handles all my need except for the statusbar.

Thanks
Rich

Hi,

Indeed we offer themes only for simple standard WPF components. The best way to achieve your goal is to re-template the status bar using Blend and use desired colors from desired theme to style the component.

Hello,

Is it possible to use the RadRichTextBoxStatusBar as a status bar for a window?

Kind regards,
Bert

Hello,

I'm afraid that the RadRichTextBoxStatusBar is designed only to be used for RadRichTextBox and is not suited for other scenarios.

DevExpress controls have a status bar.

Surely you'd want to match your competitors basic features? it's hardly the most difficult control you'd have to write.

At least explain why you won't do it? all I get is responses that we have no plans to support it. Why not? and what alternative to you have? overriding the template of the vanilla control is not a solution.

Hi Norman,

I already replied in the thread where you described your particular needs of a StatusBar Telerik control but I will post the information here as well so that the community can also benefit from it.

We discussed the implementation of a StatusBar but unfortunately at the moment this task cannot be added to our to-do list due mostly to the current load in our roadmap. However, the task is logged for consideration and we will discuss it again when we plan our future releases.

In the meantime, what you and everyone else can do, is use the native WPF StatusBar component. It can easily be styled to use the default Telerik theme brushes and therefore it can easily be integrated with our controls with every built-in theme. I attached a sample solution demonstrating this approach for further reference.

Hi Tina,

Thanks for your assistance to the support ticket and thanks for sharing this.

Hopefully it'll make it in some stage but as I said before, this workaround is perfectly acceptable.

Kind Regards,
Norman.
