Hi

As mentioned in this blog, Microsoft ist going to support the usage of SQL CE in webapplication-scenarios with the release of version 4.0. As I usually create very small-business-applications, I mostly use Access as database. But to lift the things on a higher level, I would really like to use SQL CE in the future.

So, my question is, will Telerik OpenAccess ORM support this usage?

Best Regards,
Andreas

Hi Andreas Müller,

Currently Telerik OpenAccess ORM supports SQL Compact Edition 3.5. Support for the 4.0 version is not available yet. However I can point out that we do provide full support for other embedded databases such as VistaDB and SQLite.

We will be considering implementing support for 4.0 but for the time being I cannot give an exact time frame. The good news is however that this will not be a big task and we will most likely support it.

Best wishes,
Serge
