Split Button drop down items not generating postback

Hi Everyone,

I have created a splitbutton with 2 options:
1) Format HTML
2) Format Text

I have set the default button via the EnableDefaultButton=true and EnableDefaultButtonIndex and this all works as expected.
By default the Format HTML button is shown as the split button image, if I click on the down arrow to display the drop down and then click on the Format Text item in the drop down, no postback occurs.
The only thing that seems to cause a post back is if I select an item from the drop down and then click on the Split button.

Is this the way the Split button is supposed to work, or should I be getting a post when selecting an item from the drop down?

What am I doing wrong?
