Spell Checker in RadRichTextBox

Hi,

Will Spell Checker functionality be available in Q2 2010 release of RadRichTextBox. I could not find it in the beta release of this version.

Hi Ajitha Kumar B,

The RadRichTextBox featured in the 2010 Q2 release doesn't support spell checking, however it is a high priority feature for us and is on the list for the Q3 release. Let us know if you have any other suggestion about our new product.

Yes, the Spell Checker feature is still scheduled for Q3 2010. Indeed spell checking will be introduced in the Q3 Beta release, expected in a couple of weeks, so stay tuned.

Can you tell us what Telerik (or even non Telerik) controls can be used with this new spell checker for the Q3 release? I have a customer where this functionality is a must have.

Hello Scott,

In Q3 the spell-checking functionality would be available out of the box only for RadRichTextBox for Silverlight. Spellchecker component though will expose API for checking if a word is correct which can be used at you will. We also have plans to introduce spell-checking in other text input controls soon after Q3.
