I created a news feed app that uses a server hosted XML file to drive the news feed and supply article data. It was a very quick hack together using jCarouselLite by Ganeshji Marwaha (gmarwaha.com) but it was a good base project to experiment with Icenium.

Essentially the app makes an AJAX call to a web server and loads an XML file. The responseXML response is then formatted to display in the news section of page1.

News auto scrolls and can be forwarded or reversed by the user at the click of an arrow (see screen shot).

Drop me a line if you want a zip file of the full source (e.g. HTML, JavaScript etc.)

Hey Andrey, that's really great. Thanks for sharing this with us.

Would it be possible for you to push the code on GitHub as a public repository. It is as simple as creating an empty repo and then pushing to it via Graphite's Project Navigator context menu or the Version Control menu.

No worries...as I use mist (I'm a Mac boy!) I have created a repo and put the non-Icenium files into it.

It's available here https://github.com/Binkysoft/News-Feed-App.git

Thanks
Andy

@Andrew: FYI, the domain where you refer to in your first post is reported by Firefox as a 'Reported Attack Page'.
