Dear Telerik,

I have been very impressed with every one of the Telerik tools I have tried.  I am in the middle of evaluating solutions to generate applications for the most common smartphones and handheld devices (i.e. iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Droid, Windows Phone, & Blackberry).

I was wondering if Telerik has any plans to create smartphone application controls and plugins that will integrate with Visual Studio in the future.

Please Advise,

Jim

Hello Jim,

Thanks for contacting us and for your question.

Since you have posted your inquiry in our RadControls for Windows Phone 7 forum, I am happy to inform you that we already have a rich suite of controls targeting the new Windows Phone 7 platform. You can take a look at our dedicated page on your website for further information:

RadControls for Windows Phone 7

The suite is completely integrated with Visual Studio 2010.

You are also able to download the suite and give it a try to see whether it suits your needs. We will be happy to hear from you if you have any feedback to share after that.

I hope this answers your question.

Do not hesitate to get back to us in case you need further assistance.

Dear Telerik,

Thank you for your response.  Knowing that you currently support the Microsoft Phone 7 is a good.  However, there are a lot of other prevalent smartphones today that our solution would need to handle.  We are looking for a solution that would deploy to the most common smartphones and handhelds:

  • iPhone, i Pad, iPod Touch
  • Droid
  • Windows Phone
  • Blackberry

Please let me know what your plans are for these target platforms.

Thanks,

Jim
