Hi,

The simulator on one of our developers' (rajeshr) computers gets stuck on Loading - the project is R....MobileDev.  We share code through GitHub and the same project loads fine on my computer.  He has tried deleting the project from his workspace and then cloning it again from GitHub, but the same issue happens.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Cheers,
Michael

Also should have mentioned that on the same developer's computer he can load another project in the simulator, so seems to be something specific to his Graphite and the project in question.

Hi Michael,

Ask Rajesh to try the following procedure to cleanup his Graphite's installation:

  1. Close all Icenium Graphite instances. Open the Task Manager and make sure that there are no running processes with the name Icenium.Graphite.exe. If there is - kill it.
  2. Uninstall Graphite.
  3. Delete all contents in the %localappdata%\Temp\IceDeviceSimulator folder.
  4. Delete all contents in the  %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\ folder.
  5. Delete all contents in the  %localappdata%\Apps\2.0 folder.
  6. Re-install Graphite.

Hi Steve,

I did all the above steps to cleanup and re-install Graphite. It is still showing me the same loading screen. Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

We also installed Graphite on another machine that hadn't had Graphite installed before and Rajesh had same issue. But when I logged into Graphite on the same machine I could get the simulator to start.
So seems like some issue with Rajesh's copy of the project at Icenium.
He then tried deleting the project and cloning again from Github, but gets same problem.
I then tried cloning the same project (to a different project name on Icenium) and then I get the same issue too.
I had a look under AppData and noticed that ReckonMobileDev.proj is not there and the folder size of all the files is smaller than in my version of the project that is working.
So seems that when cloning from Github, ReckonMobileDev.proj is not coming over for some reason, even though it is still in Github.

Any ideas what is happening and how to resolve this?

Thanks,
Michael

Hello guys,

The project in Rajesh's account is corrupted as there are multiple files missing. As Michael's account for ReckonMobileDev does not have any pending commits, our suggestion is to create a new repo, where Michael can push the app as it is on his end and then the other collaborators can clone the app from the new repo. You can then continue work in that repo or change it back to the old one by altering the "Configure Remote Repository".
