Yesterday I was having issues with Graphite even loading projects without crashing or prompting me with a Visual Studio runtime error. I resolved that with a complete uninstall and reinstall of Graphite. Now, the simulator will crash with a Visual Studio runtime error, or not even load at all when I try to run my projects there. I have a co-worker also experiencing the same issues, however his machine's simulator freezes with a "Pause in Debugger" message on the screen.

2 things I have noticed since this morning:

    1) When the Simulator craps out, I can still see the task running under task manager. If I kill it, I can then reopen the simulator, until the next crash.

    2) When the Simulator does happen to remain open while I am testing, If I make a change to my project, on some occasions during the refresh of the Simulator, it will crash with a vague Visual Studio runtime error

    Hello Paul,

    Can you try the following:

    • Close all instances of Graphite
    • Clear the content of %localappdata%\Telerik\BlackDragon\Cache folder.
    • Restart Graphite.

If this doesn't help, try the following:

    1. Launch Graphite
    2. Open Task Manager, locate Icenium.Graphite.exe in the Processes tab, right-click and choose Open File Location
    3. Uninstall Graphite from Control Panel > Programs and Features > Add/Remove Programs.
    4. Delete the folder opened in Step 2.
    5. Install Graphite again.

If the problem persists, we're going to need some more information in order to diagnose the problem. Could you please provide us with the Graphite logs located in %LocalAppData%\Telerik\BlackDragon\Logs. You can upload the logs at some free file hosting provider and give us the link or send them at our email

We apologize for any inconveniences caused and thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
