Unfortunately as you already noticed, it is not possible to access the Silverlight Visual Tree using the IE developer tools. You need a special tool in order to do that. The two good tools including Silverlight Visual Tree inspectors I'm aware of are Telerik Test Studio
(with our DOM Explorer) and Silverlight Spy
. Both are paid but have evaluation copy/trial period. You can also search for other tools on the internet.
