Hi,

I am trying to record a test for a Silverlight 4 app that involves the following steps:
1. clicking on a button that opens up a silverlight pop-up window
2. enter values in the pop-up and then clicking OK

When I get to step 2 the tool does not identify the popup. I have looked at your video tutorial for html popups but I am still having problems getting the tool to identify the popup. Any suggestions?
I am using the Telerik Developer Edition framework.

Thanks,
Tracy

Hi Trace,

This sounds like the known limitation in Silverlight with regards to the popups. In Silverlight the popups are generally not available in the main visual tree and WebUI Test Studio cannot access/automate those. Unfortunately Silverlight 4 does not include any improvements in this regard and we are looking to implement a work-around for the next product version.

I'm bookmarking this thread to follow up once we have a work-around for the popups automation limitation. In the meantime feel free to post any feedback you have both here in the forums or via support ticket if you prefer.

Sincerely yours,
