I would like the tooltip to temporarily show when you hover over the target (and then disappear when you move mouse away)... but I would like the tooltip to stay when you click on the target (then go away when you click on the target again).

I have figured out how to do both of the above but I can't figure out how to combine them so the same target can use both behaviors.

Thanks

Hi Jason,

The described functionality is currently not supported out of the box, however you can achieve similar behavior by initializing two Tooltip widgets - one showing on click and one showing on hover. You can see an example here.

Alexander,  Thanks for the help with this one!  While the solution you suggested does work for a first click, after you click on the text to make the tooltip stick and then close it -- it acts buggy on from then on when you hover it or try and click to envoke it.

Hello Jason,

I apologize for misleading you - the example intended to give you a direction, not a complete implementation as providing custom solutions is outside the scope of our standard support services.
You can however find an updated version of the example here.
