Is it possible to show AllDay-events in the time area, that means as a block from 0-24?

Is it possible to show an event which is ranging from 2016-09-13 8AM to 2016-09-14 9PM not in the all day-row but in the times area than as big block ?

Hello Andreas,

By design the Scheduler does not support displaying all-day events outside of the AllDaySlot, as explained in the following forum thread, which discusses a scenario where the AllDaySlot is hidden.

Hy, basically my enquiry arose not about AllDayEvents.

e.g If I create an Event "2016-09-13 8AM to 2016-09-14 9PM" the event moves to the AllDay row. And don't stays in the times-area below where it should be.

Why?

Thanks, BR

Hello BR,

As Georgi mentioned in the thread I linked events longer than 24h are rendered as AllDay events so they are displayed only in the AllDaySlot just like the AllDay events.

Thanks, my mistake, didn't get the link..

But, will this behaviour be changed in the future? Its not correct in my opinion, because an Event "2016-09-13 8AM to 2016-09-14 9PM" is simply not an AllDay Event for these two affected days..

Hello Andreas,

We can suggest voting for this feature request in our Feedback Portal. Currently it is still not approved, but all logged requests are reviewed by the team and are considered for future implementation, the most highly anticipated ones take precedence though.

ok, I will vote for it.

But my point is, it is a BUG not a feature...

An event eg. 2016-09-13 10am TO 2016-09-14 11am is NOT an 2day AllDay event, but it is rendered this way at the moment...

Thanks a lot!

Hello Andreas,

It is not a bug since by design AllDay events and events longer than 24h are displayed in the AllDaySlot. It would have been a bug if they were implemented to be displayed outside the AllDaySlot, but currently no such implementation exists.

Hallo Ivan,

ok, then it is not a bug, but it is odd, cause it is not an allday event ^^..

Hello Andreas,

This is why we suggested voting for the linked feature request in the portal. Currently the ASP.NET AJAX RadScheduler and the Kendo UI differ in the way they display AllDay events and events longer than 24h. If the feature request is approved by the team it will be implemented in one of our next releases.

Hello Daniel,

The feature request's status is "Approved", which means that we have confirmed that it is valid and we will be willing to implement it. It is not yet planned for a specific release and scheduled for implementation. This usually depends on how popular the feature request is.
