Show a "Search Box" in Diagram

Is it possible, or on the road map to enable a search box that could show at the top right of the diagram? This would be useful for something like searching a large organisation chart...

Hello Tommy,

The easiest way would be to use the filter method of the Kendo UI DataSource associated with the diagram widget. Please refer to the http://dojo.telerik.com/esodiz example.

Hi Boyan, thanks for the suggestion and example.

What I was meaning was a way to "focus" in on a certain person in the diagram. Let's say I have a chart with 100 people on it, I'd like to search for "sam" and the browser would zoom in and focus on that person without hiding all the other employees like your "filter" method does.

 

I supposed we'd also need to consider what to do if there are multiple instances of "sam" on the one diagram.

Such functionality is not provided out of the box with the Kendo UI Diagram. We suggest to post all feature requests in our official public portal.
