I'm attempting to set up Tasks by Telerik to sync between my PC and my HTC 8x (WP8).  I can create a telerik cloud account on my PC but i can not get it to recognize the account on my phone.  It always asks for a server, which i dont know.  Can anyone provide any help?

Hi Richard,

Telerik Cloud synchronization is available in Tasks for Windows 8 but we're in the process of migrating it to the phone as well. This feature will be included with the next update of Tasks for Windows Phone 8. We will be pushing the update to the store sometime next week.

All the best,

Kiril,
I am also having difficulty in getting the Telerik Cloud Sync to work across multiple devices. I have Tasks on my main windows 8 computer, purchased the cloud access. I have the new version of Tasks for Windows Phone 8 with the cloud access and also on my Surface Pro. Both the Surface Pro and Phone get an Sync Error. What is odd to me is the Surface Pro is running Windows 8.

Thanks,
Scott

Hello Scott,

thank you for your feedback!
Could you, please give us some more information about the issue you have noticed in order to be able to help you to resolve it:

  • what value has the setting "Completed tasks retention policy" into the Settings page? If it is 'Manual delete only', please, change it to any other value at the both devices- WP8 and Windows 8 and let us know if there is any change.

Ivailo,

I have three devices:
Laptop Computer, Running windows 8. Downloaded and installed Tasks and also purchased Telerik Cloud Access. When program runs, it shows that it is syncing.

Surface Pro 128Gig, Downloaded and installed Tasks, configured to use Telerik Cloud Access with user name and password. When it tries to sync, I get the error "Synchronization error"

Windows Phone 8, Nokia 920, Downloaded the latest version, Configured for Telerik Cloud Access with user name and password, Also had to purchase again. On the phone I get this error:
Synchronization error Current error context error is different to requested error.
Note: I did not request an error.

I have tried reinstalling and installing. I even tried setting up another cloud account however I could not unless I used a different email.

This is a really great application, can't wait till it starts working. Maybe you could wipe out my cloud account and I can start over. I do not want to use another email as I will never remember it.

Thanks,
Scott

P.S. I do have a DevCraft Ultimate License. Just throwing that out there, I really want this app working.

Ok, I got it working. Here is what I did:

I used a different email to be able to create a new account.

I set the Cloud Account up, using the phone first.

Also, instead of using my last name for the username, I used my email address.

Password did not change from the previous account.

So either by using a email in the user name or by configuring the account from the latest program (WP8) made the difference.

Hope this helps.

In the future I would like to setup my account using my normal email address,

Thanks,
Scott
