Hi,

I found a strange issue using the new rating control :

Using http://demos.telerik.com/aspnet-ajax/rating/examples/clientsidefunctionality/defaultcs.aspx

Step 1: Set the txtValue TextBox to 5 -> Ok you have 5 stars clientside
Step 2: Now, without refreshing the page, set it to 0 -> Ok you have 0 stars clientside
Step 3: Still without refreshing the page, set it again to 5 -> Not ok, you still have 0 stars.

Moreover, if after step 2 on server side you try to save the rating control value (in a database for example) using radrating1.value, it will record 5 and not 0.

(setting the txtValue to 0.0 does not solve the issue)

Regards,
Arnaud Boiselle

So the question is : How do you reset the rating control client-side, or set its value to 0 ?

Hello Arnaud Boiselle,
Yes, you are correct - this is a problem in the RadRating control and we will address it as soon as possible. I will write again as soon as the fix is available in an internal build.

All the best,

Hello Arnaud Boiselle,
The problem you reported is fixed in Q3 2009 SP1 that we release last week - you can test the demo to which you provided a link in your first post again - our online demos use Q3 2009 SP1.

Sincerely yours,
Tsvetie
