Server Error - New Styles

For the past day or so I have been seeing this message when creating a new style.

Failed to create skin!
A server error has occured.
We have been notified and will try to resolve it ASAP.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Can anyone shed some light on this issue?

PS. I was able to open an old style.zip file in the editor. I simply cannot create a new one.

Hi guys,

We are aware of this problem and we are actively working on fixing the Visual Style Builder tool.

At the moment new skins cannot be created because of the error, but if you have an existing skin you can upload, this should work.

My best advice is waiting a few days before getting back to custom skins. This can also help you focus on other pieces of your project's logic.

Adding my voice to the group waiting for a fix on the visual style builder.  I'm training on a product that uses Telerik controls and I am stymied in my progress until this is fixed.

I want to assure you that we are working on this issue at this very moment. The Visual Style Builder is a complex tool and the fix is not trivial.

I do understand that this can be problematic, yet you can use the built-in skins until you have the custom skin and focus on other parts of the logic until then.

Thank you for the update. I can understand this could be pretty complex.

In the meantime I know I could edit an existing skin. The problem is I need a skin based upon the existing "Web20" skin. All my existing skins are based upon "Simple".

Regardless, I can wait a little longer. I appreciate the Visual Style Builder and I thank you for making it available. I look forward to it's return.
