Hello all,

When I make an appointment in dayview with the RangeFactor set to five minutes. I can make 2 appointments, say 10:00-10:10 and 10:10-11:00. When I switch to weekview with the standard RangeFactor of 30 minutes these appointsments are placed side by side and the visual representation looks like 10:00-10:30 and 10:00 to 11:00. The timevalues are correct inside the dialog and database. The visual timescale is wrong, they should not overlap, but be placed on below one another. If I set the RangeFactor to 5  minutes I cannot see al the appoints in one screen.

This sample can be reproduced by the demo radschedular (exept for the 5 minute timescale). I am using Radcontrols for Winforms Q3 2010 (2010.3.10.1215)

I could not find a answer on the forum, maybe I used the wrong search values. What am I doing wrong?

Kind regards Marc Henssen

Hello Marc,

Thank you for writing.

Your sequence of actions is correct, but here is the place to explain the visualization of the appointment in Day view. The example is similar to yours, create an appointment from 10:10 to 10:20, if the range is bigger than the duration, it will be represented in the cells that contains that interval. If the range is half an hour, you will see this appointment in the cell that starts in 10:00 and it will be represented in the whole area of that cell. If the range is 10 minutes, the appointment will be represented in the whole area of the cell which start at 10:10. If the range is 6 minutes, the appointment will be represented in the whole area of the cells that contain that period - 10:06 to a cell which starts at 10:18.

I hope that you will find this information helpful. Do not hesitate to contact me in case you need further assistance.

Hello Dobry,

Thanks for your answer. It explaines the design of the radschedular and its behaviour, so I know I don't make a mistake. The hour registration software I am programming for my client, needs to tell the client quickly if the 8 working hours are booked. If the appointments are side by side one cannot tell if there are hours (or 5 minutes) missing, or I have to calculate the total hours by day and display them somewhere. In Outlook the display is more accurate and appointments are not rounded of bij 15 minutes or so for display. For the rest the schedular works perfect and does exactly what I need. Is there a way to change the drawing of the rectangle with a more accurate one, so I can see the appointments under each other.

Kind regards,

Marc

Hello Marc,

Thank you for writing back.

At the moment we do not provide the functionality to show the appointment at a specific precise position according to the start time. If more clients request, it we will put it in to-do our list. You can vote for this feature here.
