When running my AT scripts from WebUI Test Studio a scroll bar appears at the bottom of the browser in which the script is being executed.  This use to be just a small area at the bottom of the screen, but either my upgrade to the latest version of silverlight (4.0.50917.0) or an update to the WebUI Test Studio itself has changed this.

Now when the script runs it is moving the active button (button being pressed in the AT script) to the top of the browser and the script is failing at this point again and again.  See attached image

Hi Adam,

I certainly do see how this is a problem for testing or even normal use. Does the application always appear this way? Why is the scroll bar there at all? How does the application appear when you run it manually, does it appear any different? Can you show me a screen shot of the app when WebUI is not running?

We do attach to the browser in order to drive it and to be able to read the DOM from it. However the tool doesn't change the appearance of the application or the contents of the DOM (unless the test explicitly and deliberately does so).

Kind regards,

Hi Cody.

The application doesn't always appear as my first screenshot and the scroll bar is not part of the application.  I have attached a screenshot of the home page of the application as it appears when just running it manually.

Thanks

Hi Adam,

Thank you for the screen shot. We have never seen such a report as this, so we have no idea what could be causing it. I'd like to see this first hand and try and troubleshoot what is causing this behavior. Is there any way we can access your application directly? If necessary we'll be happy to sign a non-disclosure agreement.

The next best thing is to look at this problem directly on your computer via GoToMeeting. Let me know what time works for you and I'll setup the meeting. I am in Austin, TX which is GMT - 6.

Best wishes,
Cody
