I have a grid which has columns of text and columns of numbers. The number editor is a numericTextBox. The problem we are having is that sometimes when using the spinbox, the screen scrolls to try and center the spin box (at least I think centering is the goal). This is a jarring experience for the user, and they have complained about it.

    The grid is batch editable.

It is worth noting that this does not happen when the page is fully scrolled to the bottom.

Is there a setting that causes the screen to jump when you edit a cell? Or is there a way to prevent this behaviour?

I tried calling prevent on the event object passed to the change event function of the number editor, but that did nothing. But calling preventDefault on the global 'event' which is a focus event, fixed the problem.

    Hello Shea,

Could you provide a runnable example of the above said or a list of steps to follow in order to reproduce it in our demos as I am unable to observe the behavior on my side?

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

It would be nice if you could post the answers back to the original forums so others could use this information.

    Hello Billy,

In Shea's case the problem was caused by using a very old Kendo UI version (2013.2.716). If your implementation is using the latest Kendo UI version and the problem still occurs, please provide a runnable example.
