I'm currently working on an app in AppBuilder and have put in a Scheduler widget and everything looks fine when running in the simulator however when we try to run it in the companion app for iOS the sprite is not showing up. Is there any trick to getting this to work?

I have tested the Kendo Scheduler widget in the AppBuilder companion app and it works as expected. Can you elaborate more on what sprite is not showing up? It would be best if you could send us images or open a support ticket and send us a working project where the issue can be reproduced, so that we can provide the best possible support.
