My requirement is Can we show scanned PDF using this viewer in ASP.net page? Also I will like to know do we have any any telerik control from where user can see pdf files in ASP.net page in Telerik Grid ? Kindly suggest.

Hello Parag,

In case you want to display standard images (scanned PDF) using our RadBinaryImage control, you can do that by specifying its ImageUrl properly as explained in this help topic. You may also embed RadBinaryImage inside an item template of RadGrid template column for the same purpose.

Thanks for your reply.
But if in case I want to show PDF which conatins the scanned images then which control I can use from Telerik side. Which also supports navigation accross the pages. Any suggestion on this is really appreciated.

As explained in my previous reply:

You may also embed RadBinaryImage inside an item template of RadGrid template column for the same purpose.

Another option would be to use the built-in GridImageColumn as specify the image url for it as illustrated on this RadGrid online example:

Hi,

Is there any telerik web viewer control with all the required below features

1) which can display documents like pdf, word etc
2) rotate the documents in the viewer
3) Annoatate the documents in the viewer
4) print and save to the desktop
5) fax/email features from the viewer control.

Could you please provide the demo links if any?

Chap, if this control can cook, wash dishes and do the laundry I would buy one too :) Seriously, I do not think that you will find stand-alone component with all these features, and telerik does not have such or I'd surely know about that!

Telrik may not have a specific Control that will do all the things like viewing, adding annotations and rotating. But there must be some way to do all these things with telrik right??  We are in search of that ,  can any one help in finding that.

Our requirement is like

Viewing .pdf files, and have to do annotations to that.

Sravani, yesterday I found a blog which explains how to display pdf files in RadWindow (because I wanted to do that, too) - here it is: http://blogs.telerik.com/vladimirenchev/posts/08-12-08/How_To_Export_grid_to_PDF_file_and_show_the_result_using_the_window.aspx. I do not think that you can do annotations though.

I dont want to exprot from Grid , but i need to open an existing pdf file directly and , have to perform annotations to that.  I am using RadBinaryImage control to dispaly pdf(before displaying ,i converted .pdf into .jpj using Aspose.pdf.kit) and my problem is how to do annotations on that.

A very good tool that can convert any scanned PDF or scanned image to text is www.ocrconvert.com . Is free and is online, easily to use.

We have ended up using browsers default Acrobat Pdf Viewer for displaying, rotating, save, email etc the pdf documents.
But the disadvantage is client machine needs to have the acrobat installed.
Not sure but heard acrobat professional edition on client even allows to annotate.
