We have an app where users may take photos and store them on our server.

For those with free or personal accounts we want to allow them to save to Dropbox. I think Dropbox Saver is what we want.

I saw a previous post related to Dropbox Chooser to this who had not had success.

Do you know if Dropbox Saver has been used.

When a the Save to Dropbox link is clicked the message is

{"error": "Origin does not match any app domain"}

Failing this have you heard good reports about Google Drive integration.

TIA.

Hello Gerard,

Thank you for contacting.

I searched a bit on the web and found several plugins that might help you out:
  1. The DropBox Chooser plugin. As I can see "it requires only the creation of an app within the Dropbox App Console (https://www.dropbox.com/developers/apps/) as a developer, with the 'permission type' of 'Drop-ins'." Then you will need to add the DropBox App key in the plugin.xml and if you wish to use it on iOS, you will also need to insert your App ID. This is better explain in the readme file.

  2. Another approach could be to use third-party Sync APIs. There are such already developed for Android and iOS. Note, these plugins are not Plugman compatible and you will need to make them such. I would recommend also going through the blog posts, found in the plugins repos, as they seem very informative.

About Google Drive, we just had similar question in our support system. Here is a short quote from it:
"You will need to create Client ID for Installed Application depending on the platform your project is targeting (at this point, I can see this is only possible for Android or iOS). Further, you could also check if selecting Other under Installed Application Type will do the trick, as it is not yet documented and I am not aware if it will work for hybrid mobile applications at all.

Continuing with the integration, I would recommend you to stick to this article as everything in it is explained in details and with examples. Of course, I will be here if you have more questions or you need assistance from us. So please, do not hesitate to write again.
"

I hope this helps. Please, let me know if there is anything else I can assist you with.

Regards,
Kaloyan
