Hi,

the Simulator is showing just an empty html document.

Running on device is working and also Debugging on device.

The Simulator was already working. Can't say which Change caused the Problem.

Hi Alexander,

Are you having the same problem when trying to run one of the built-in templates in the simulator? Please use the Debug tools of the simulator and specifically the Console and Network tabs to identify what is going on. There might be a service call failing or something similar.

I started the Simulator from within a sample Project and encountered no Problems. Then I started "Run in Simulator" in my real life Project again and it worked. I'll try to find out the reason stopping the Simulator to work.

The Simulator stopped working again. Trying the described work around doesn't work. The Debugging Environment of the Simulator doesn't Show any activity on the wire. Nothing helps, no reload, no refresh.

Hello Alexander,

I downloaded your project and tried locally, but apart from the failing service calls, the simulator does show your app (not an empty html document). And the fact that this occurs randomly on your end is even more confusing. What Visual Studio version and edition are you using? Does restarting Visual Studio solve the problem? We would need exact steps to follow that lead to this problematic behavior.

Microsoft Visual Studio Premium 2013

Version 12.0.21005.1 REL

Restarting doesn't solve the Problem.

Steps to reproduce:

- open solution

- click on "Run in Simulator"

Hi Alexander,

Unfortunately we're not able to reproduce the problem on our end. We would appreciate if you try to isolate the issue in a sample that always fails or find steps that cause the issue to occur (open solution and run does not cut it locally). I would also suggest the following:
  • create a new Icenium app from one of the templates (e.g. blank).
  • move your project files to this app.
  • see if the issue in simulator persists.

Steve
