I am using standalone report designer and have deployed the report on telerik report server.

HTML 5 report viewer is used. The viewer shows 1 page loaded but displays nothing.

This is the problem with my local machine and my team's machines.

But the report is displayed on development server.

Could you please help me out where might be the issue.

Regards,

Ashwini

Hello Ashwini,

Please check if you can preview a report that does not use data source components. then check the settings of the data source component and if they can be handled by the used Report Server.

In order to provide you more accurate suggestions, please post a link to a video that illustrates the design-preview in a Standalone Report Designer, the publishing and the test to preview it from the Report Server.

Stef

Hi Stef,

Thanks for your reply,

But all my other reports are rendered perfectly in browser using the same report server.

And I can also see data for this particular report when I do preview from the designer.

Regards,

Ashwini

Hello Ashwini,

Please test the following:
  1. Test in other browser - Firefox, Chrome;
  2. Test switching the viewer's ViewMode to PrintPreview (get the document paged);
  3. Test filtering data;
  4. Test using a SQL Profiler to detect what SQL query is executed on the SQL server and the amount of returned data records.

The idea is that if you use a table item to visualize data, it is rendered into a single continuous page in interactive preview. Browsers like IE have limit for the number of simultaneously loaded HTML elements (HTML Output), that can result in a blank page or error in the response (can be seen in Fiddler).

If you need further help, please open a support ticket and send us the problematic report and details about the amount of data it should display. Include also a log file generated by Fiddler (SAZ).

Regards,
Stef
