Maybe I'm doing it wrong, but reordering the backlog by dragging and dropping seems to be more of a faff than it should be.

I have a 'big' backl,og on a project I've just started managing.

If I have to move stuff about I'm limited to dragging it within the page of results I've got. Either that or I canb move it to the top/bottom using the priority button options, but that's about it.

If I want to move something up the order so it goes from page X to page X-1 I have to:

  • Drag the item to the 2nd row (dragging to the top doesn't appear to work)
  • Use the Priority button to move it up to row 1 then again to move it up to become the last row in page X-1

This becomes even more of a PITA is I'm trying to drag multiple items.

Other than turning off paging, I can't suggest a way of improving the experience, but I'm sure that the Big Brains at Telerik Towers can come up wiith something.

Hi Stuart,

I understand that managing big backlog is hard. And TeamPulse is not making it easier to prioritize between pages. We will think about it your suggestion for removing pages is very good idea.
Meanwhile you can try to use an additional criteria to group and filter your backlog. I would suggest you to use the Priority Class to narrow down your backlog items.
