I have a kendo grid which shows data according to the search criteria, and whenever we are opening the  details grid, it is showing well with its data within it, but the issue comes with the horizontal scroll bar, the details grid is expanding the column of master grid and a scroll bar is created and when we are closing this detail grid the scroll bar is not getting hidden but remaining in the master grid with no data being effected but the design is getting messy.

The detail grid has 17 columns but i want to show only 3 columns, when i am clicking on the clientTemplate icon to open my detail grid all the 17 column headers are getting loaded initially which is resulting in the creation of scroll bar and when the data is loaded the required 3 columns are only shown and rest are getting hidden, but the scroll bar is not effected. So the scroll bar is making the design messy.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello Bibhaschandra,

Unfortunately, you've posted this question in the wrong forum, there is no associated product. I recommend that you either open a Support Ticket here or post in the Kendo Premium Forums here.

However, I see that you are not a license holder for Kendo UI, but are part of a larger organization. If you are the developer using Kendo UI, you need to be assigned a license in order to get support and to use the Kendo components.

Solution

It is a common scenario that your organization purchased the license, but you are the developer using it. It only takes about 30 seconds to assign you the license, which will make you the Licensed User.

Steps for the License Holder

Here are the steps to share with the person whom purchased the license

1 - Go to the Manage Licensed Users portal
2 - Add a new Licensed User using their email address
3 - Assign the user to the license (note: You still retain ownership of the license and can change Licensed Users at any time)

Once they've assigned you as the Licensed User, you'll be able to open a support ticket and communicate directly with the development team.

If you do not have a license and are only using Kendo Core

You can participate in the
Telerik Kendo UI Forums only if you have a trial or commercial license (see our FAQ). Community questions can be directed to the "kendo-ui" StackOverflow category.
