Over the past few weeks I have reported a couple of bugs and the fixes have been made available in the internal builds right away. That is great! But the deadline for my project is getting close so I am bit concerned about getting an official release soon that will include those bug fixes. I noticed in the release history that you release roughly every month, is that how you guys do it or were the last 3 releases just a coincidence?

Thanks in advance,

-OmarV

Hello D. Omar,

We have 3 major releases per year - Q1, Q2 and Q3. This means that you get a major release on every 4 months.

We keep any major changes or additions for these release. We also have official service pack releases which are generally twice per Q release. Those service pack releases include mainly bugfixes and small improvements for the controls. If you do the math you will see that we have release roughly on every 6 weeks.

You also noticed our "latest internal releases" - they contain mainly bugfixes and are available at the end of each week.

I hope this give you some light on our release cycles. Our next major release (Q2) is scheduled for this week.

Sincerely yours,

I have to admit to being a little surprised by this, as I had assumed there were four releases a year. But I clearly hadn't been paying attention, as 'three releases per year' is clearly stated elsewhere on the site.

Everywhere else that I've come across the terminology "Q1 2009", it means "Quarter 1 of 2009" , i.e. January to March, and when the Q1 release came out in March, that just confirmed my incorrect assumption.

So what does "Q1" etc mean, if not "Quarter 1"?

>> Our next major release (Q2) is scheduled for this week.<<

Hi Valio;
Is this release going to be for SL2 or SL3? If this is going to be for SL2, what is the time frame for Telerik controls that are going to be compatible with SL3 RTW?

Thanks and looking forward to it!

Hi Ben,

The release will be SL2. Once we have official Silverlight 3 we will need at least two weeks to provide our SL 3 build.

Kind regards,

Thanks Vlad for the confirmation. But the last bits you got (624) should be very close to RTW, but I see your point of having the final RTW.
