On all of the grids in our application, we support filtering. Filtering works as expected except when I have already filtered the grid and attempt to filter again. The second filter returns the grid as unfiltered and the filter text disappears. I can then filter, again, and the filter works.
Reading through this I can see that it may be difficult to understand the problem. Let me try an example.
Say I have a grid with two columns, ID and Name. I apply a filter to ID of 1. The grid filters, showing all ID's starting with 1 as expected. I then apply a filter to ID of 2. The full grid re-displays, unfiltered, and the filter box for ID is empty. I can then apply the ID filter of 2 and the grid will filter as expected.

I am unable to replicate the described by you issue. Please take a look at this video to see the tests I performed and let me know if I missed something out.
Additionally, it would be great if you can send us a small runnable project demonstrating the problem you faced. We will debug it locally and get back to you with our findings.
