Does this reporting tool allow you to use recurse through data.  In SQL Reporting Services you can create a report and pass it some IDs and it will recurse through your data and do the sums for each part.  Would you say this reporting tool would at least equal what SQL Reporting Services can do?

Hi Don,

As far as I understand, you’re asking about some kind of aggregate functions that will allow you to do some calculations with your data. We will provide most of the aggregate functions such as: Sum, Min, Max, Count, Average, Standard deviation, etc.

All the best,

Is there any aggregate functionality in the current set of bits? I am testing a simple report with a few columns of numbers and of course the focus will be the sum at the bottom of each page or at the end of the report..  cheers, drew..

Hello drew,

The current public version (CTP2) supports only the most basic aggregate functions: First, Last, Count, Sum, Min, Max. We are currently working on this functionality so we hope the final version will offer more powerful aggregate and total functions.

i feel that likely i am going to smack myself "upside-da-head" for asking, but how do you implement aggregate fields in a report? In MS ReportView, you can can drag an attribute to the page footer and it just knows to setup the Sum(..). I have not been able to find an example of how to do it with beta1.. cheers, drew..

Hi drew,

There is no example on how to use aggregate functions because this functionality is not done yet -- we are currently working on it and I guess it will be ready for the next release (Beta 2).

Best wishes,
