All expected behavior seems to work in other browsers.
I have attached a screen image as a visual aid..

I am using a radwindow and a active reports (7) webviewer in safari to open a pdf (acrobat reader).

See attachment for images
1. User clicks button in a radgrid to open the active report.
2. A modal opens that contains the webviewer
3. The report generates as expected in a PDF document.
4. The User clicks to close the modal
5. The PDF is still visible
See screen images… How do I clean this up and ensure it has been disposed properly also (memory)…  I suspect it is a active reports issue.. I have posted on their support forums also.. (    http://www.datadynamics.com/forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=152904  )

Hi Warren,

I believe this to be a bug in IE: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2833068. RadWindow is a div that holds a table (the table creates the layout - titlebar, borders, statusbar) and inside an iframe that hosts the page/pdf. IE seems to have a bug in this scenario that requires certain updates to be installed. The issue is that this bug is actually supposed to be fixed with the following update: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2817183. The "Non-security-related fixes that are included in this security update" section lists this bug as fixed, but the line above the table reads "Individual updates may not be installed...." which makes it hard to determine if the fix is actually present on any given machine. We have also had reports that this update is what actually introduces the bug in the first place.

The bug we are experiencing is actually in SAFARI and not IE, although we have found at times IE is far more forgiving than other browsers.

Data Dynamics has actually entered this as a defect in their active reports viewer.

Hi Warren,

Thank you for the additional information and sorry for missing this fact.

For anyone else having a similar issue with Safari - please follow the other thread: http://www.datadynamics.com/forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=152904.

For the IE9 problem - refer to my previous post: http://www.telerik.com/community/forums/aspnet-ajax/window/radwindow-close-but-leaves-pdf-visiable.aspx#2658184.
