Hi guys,
In our project we are using RadTreeListView. It is works perfect we can show the data create our datatemplates etcetera..., instead of Automation Testing. We can't access the control, event find them by using UISpy.

Actually it is little bit funny, because UISpy tell us that there are some header with the columns and that's it.

I gave the name for the control, event Automation Id...and can't find them in a UI Automation tree at all.
This is not really clear for us.

Could you please support us

Hi Julian,

Unfortunately, the TreeListView's UI Automation support is very limited. We are planning to extend our support in our future versions. For more details about our current support, please check this topic.

Hi,

We understand that is not a minor issue, that you could fix it in a short time and there no silver bullet, unfortunately :)
Nevertheless we would like to ask you if it will be possible  and doesn't affect your plans to help us with our showstopper as soon as it will be possible. Our client is looking forward to have AT, help us please :)

Thank you in advance,
Julian Ustiyanovych

Hello Julian,

With the next release Telerik's WebUI Test Studio will support automation for WPF applications. It would be an option to automate RadTreeListView in your application. Please, check the roadmap

According to the current UI Automation support of the RadTreeListView, we will consider to extend it for one of our next releases but we cannot commit to a specific time-frame.

Has automation for the RadTreeListView control been implemented yet ? Our company is also heavily invested in it, and we need it.  If we don't get it, we'll have to switch away to another control or write our own because we absolutely require automation testing for our datagrids. (Don't mean that to sound douchey, just factual).

Hello Alex,

Could you specify what tool for automating you are using and what kind of scenarios is major for you to be automated?
We have plans to provide native support for RadTreeListView with Telerik TestStudio but I cannot commit to a specific time frame when this will be done.

Hi Yordanka,

We're using the UIAutomation* components that come with .NET 4, specifically we crawl through AutomationElements.  We're using the MSTest framework as well.  We need to be able to do things like resolve individual cells in the grid, click on them, send keys to them, e.g. Tab and Enter, we need to be able to enter text, check off check boxes, select dropdown values from ComboBoxes, etc.  We have a very thorough test process, and we need to be able to reliably test all the controls we use automatically because we have too much testing to do things like this manually.

Hi Alex,

Unfortunately, current UIAutomation support of RadTreeListView is very limited and cannot cover your scenario. We will be working on improving that after our Q3 2011 release.
