What is the best way to customize the timebar selection?
Could we simply add the XAML with the style for the selection, overwrite it and keep using the dll's that contain the xaml (meaning not the noXaml dll's as recommended) ?
Or is there any side effect you'd expect?

As I understand you want to customize the selection visual element and you do that via style. Then you apply this style. And you are using the Xaml version of the dlls. Please correct me if I am wrong.
If this is your scenario, yes you can use it without expecting issues compared to using the NoXaml dlls. However, if you hit any you can share them and I could check what happens. Or you can open a new support ticket and share our struggles there.
