Hi!
  • The latest release of rad ajax for asp.net
  • RadGrid and template edit form
  • RadAjaxManager (without it works the same)
  • RadTextBox/ RadNumericTextBox
Scenario 1.
   I have Skin="<skin name>"

The RadTextBox/ RadNumericTextBox inside edit form template are not displayed correctly (e.g. while one can't write letters inside radnumerictextbox, the red border is not displaying, and generally no visual elements).

Scenario 2.
   i have Skin=""

The RadTextBox/ RadNumericTextBox are now displayed correctly. But i have no skin on the grid.

I saw the example with above controls and editing "in line". it works fine but using edit form not.
Thanks for help!

regards,
Radek

thanks!

I have not found answer on my question there. And i think i can use those controls quite well;)

Once again. I described the situations inside grid edit template, where the controls are not displayed correctly (but is working).
When i place them outside grid, everything is fine.

The problem is with radgrid, i think. I dont know what i am doing wrong....

I'm experiencing the same issue.
Radgrid has the skin "Outlook" and is displayed correct
RadNumericTextBox inside GridTemplateColumn has the skin "Outlook" and is displayed correct.
RadNumericTextBox inside a FormTemplate has the skin "Outlook" but this skin seems not to be applied.
If I look at the applied css I see something like .GridEditForm_Outlook input[type="text"], .GridEditForm_Outlook textarea.
Could it be, these styles are overriding the Outlook skin?

Hello,

Yes, RadGrid skins currently influence the appearance of textbox controls inside the edit form. In order to prevent this, the specificity of the textbox styles have to be increased. However, you can wait for the coming service pack to be released, which has this issue fixed.

Ok, thanks for your reply. I don't have to search any further.
