I'm experiencing an issue with the RadRibbonDropDownButton control where the DropDownContent is a ListBox with keyboard based navigation. I open the dropdown via the access key text, then use the arrow keys to select an item in the listbox, but when I press enter, nothing happens until I press another arrow key (or escape). At this point, the popup closes, but if I pressed an arrow key, it moves the selection prior to closing the popup. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong in my use of the control, or if this is a bug. Anyone have any experience with this?

    Hi Anthony,

We reproduced the scenario and we are going to investigate whether this is an issue or an expected behavior. In the meantime you can use RadListBox instead of ListBox. With the RadListBox control this behavior does not occur.

If you have further questions about this let us know.

    Hi Ivan,

Unfortunately the solution you suggested doesn't seem to have any impact on the problem. I was able to reproduce the problem in the simple sample you attached, and even after changing the ListBox to a RadListBox, the problem still seems to exist. I'm guessing I must be doing something wrong, so could you possibly make the change you are referring to in the same sample so I can see where I'm going astray?

    Thanks,

    Anthony

For reference sake, my exact sequence in the sample app is:

    1. Run The App

    2. Press "Alt"

    3. Press "T"

    4. Press "Down Arrow"

    5 Press "Enter"

At this point I expect the 2nd item to be selected and the list to be closed but it stays open.

    Hello Anthony,

With the steps you've described we were able to reproduce the issue. It seems there is a bug in the RadRibbonDropDownButton in this scenario. We have logged this item in our system and you can track and vote for its resolution in our feedback portal. I have also updated your Telerik points as a small sign of appreciation for your cooperation.

Please excuse us for any inconvenience caused.
