Thank you for getting back to us. Indeed, currently our Image editor is only available for Win 8.1/WP 8.1.
There are several reasons why it is still not a UWP component:
- The control had very little interest in Windows Universal 8.1 and had little demand in general.
- This main control value is related to its UX and appearance, thus if ported to UWP it would have to be able to adapt the UI to different form factors dynamically, rather than adapting only the code base.
We do have plans to make it available for UWP as well, however I cannot confirm a fixed time frame when this will happen.
We highly value your feedback and it will be helpful if you could share more info on the scenario where you would use the control. I have logged this into our feedback system
where you and other clients can vote and comment, so we can get a better idea of the interest for such control in UWP.
You have also mentioned our QSF application that is currently missing from the UWP offering (it has only the SDK examples instead). I can confirm that currently we are working on a UWP counterpart of the demo app.
