It took less than an hour of fiddling to add the RadImageEditor control from the Windows Universal source code to the Universal Windows Platform version, which makes me wonder why this wasn't done by Telerik given it's so easy to do?

If you wish, I'll give you my source code changes so everyone else can benefit.

I would like to know the answer to this question.  Why was RadImageEditor not included in the latest release given how easy it is to incorporate?  It was stipulated as part of the Roadmap for the next release before the current version was put out.

I am pleased to see the Map source code included correctly, and the code clean up made adding RadImageEditor very straightforward unlike the last release where I gave up, but it does seem that UWP is getting far too little attention, especially when you look at the state of the Sample project compared to the Win 8.1 version.

It's also starting to look like knowledge has been lost within Telerik as a result of employee departures.  I can see why less seasoned Telerik developers would struggle with integrating RadImageEditor.

Hi Mario,

Thank you for getting back to us. Indeed, currently our Image editor is only available for Win 8.1/WP 8.1.

There are several reasons why it is still not a UWP component:

 - The control had very little interest in Windows Universal 8.1 and had little demand in general.
 - This main control value is related to its UX and appearance, thus if ported to UWP it would have to be able to adapt the UI to different form factors dynamically, rather than adapting only the code base.

We do have plans to make it available for UWP as well, however I cannot confirm a fixed time frame when this will happen.

We highly value your feedback and it will be helpful if you could share more info on the scenario where you would use the control. I have logged this into our feedback system where you and other clients can vote and comment, so we can get a better idea of the interest for such control in UWP.

You have also mentioned our QSF application that is currently missing from the UWP offering (it has only the SDK examples instead). I can confirm that currently we are working on a UWP counterpart of the demo app.

Regards,
Tsvyatko
