can we query down directly RadGrid.Items......... to get values of a column in an IList / collection separately .
I do not want to use for each loop to fetch values of a particular column / field to another IList due to performance issue.

How else would you get the values? Either Telerik has to do it and hide the implementation from you, or you have to do it.
